The RITM SCENAR™ device is a small hand-held electro therapy unit which is placed onto the skin until you feel a gentle tingling, buzzing or stroking sensation. It may occasionally be slightly uncomfortable but not painful, and most people report the sensation to be very relaxing.
The SCENAR session is normally up to an hour, this might be slightly longer for initial visits. For acute injuries and children, the treatment time is usually around 30 minutes. During the session the SCENAR is brushed over the skin, both on the back, and if possible on the site of pain. It can be held in place while a "dose" is administered or alternatively an attachment may be added to the device for more precise or prolonged treatment to the affected area while you relax in comfort. You will be encouraged to communicate any changes you feel and any sensations you are experiencing during the treatment.
